Marin Kitagawa-chan from My Dress-Up Darling is LITERALLY ME. When I watched the anime and it truly changed my life. Marin-chan is the person I was at that time around those I was comfortable with, but I lacked the confidence to my true self in front of most. I remember seeing the scene where Gojo-kun describes a classmate who is very special to him, referring to Marin-chan. I immeadiately thought "my closest friends would describe me very similarly. I want all people to see me that way." Not neccesarly the romantic part, but as someone who is strong, socialable, and passionate about their interests. So, from that moment forward, I decided to be my full loud-and-nerdy self in front of everyone. It really did change a lot for me, I made so many friends so quickly and became overall happier.
Of course, there are other anime I enjoy as well. I love Nana, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Kamisama Kiss, Princess Jellyfish, Orange, Kimi Ni Todoke, and so on!
